Meet Hector & Ruth Nunez

Hector and Ruth Nunez are graduates of Puerto Rico Baptist College. Hector got saved when he was sixteen years old. He got the chance to go to Christian camp where he surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord opened door for him to go to Puerto Rico Baptist College, in Bayamon Puerto Rico. Where he got a degree on bible.

Ruth, on the other hand, is pastor´s daughter. She and her family had ser the Lord faithfully in the beautiful city of San Luis Potosí. Ruth got the opportunity of study Christina Education at Puerto Rico Baptist College as well.

By the grace of God, the got married on July 29, 2006. The Lord led them. The Lord led them to go to the big city of Tijuana in the north of Mexico. They arrived to Iglesia Bautista Puerta Abierta de Tijuana, where they served as Christian teachers at the Christian school. Ruth served as third grade teacher and English as a second language teacher of elementary, middle and High School. Hector served as teacher of Bible at the Christian school, and Bible institute as teacher. By the Grace of God, he continues to teach at the Bible Institute to young man and women call by God to Christian ministry.

The Lord led them to Iglesia Bautista Palabra Viva in 2008. They were sent as missionaries of their home church. Ever since, they have been serving the Lord at Palabra Viva. They have had the privilege of preaching the Gospel door-to-door. Holding evangelistic campaigns at church. Reaching the kids of the surroundings through bible clubs. Teaching bible studies at homes of the brethren. Helping in Christian education. Teaching the youth of the church. Helping to preach in other sister churches. The have continually preach the gospel, helping the brethren of the church grow in their faith.

The Lord has led Iglesia Bautista Palabra Viva to pray and depend on God to purchase a piece of property. The property is right next to our church. This property will give more space to continue to grow in the ministry. Palabra Viva has the vission to begin a Christian ministry of education. This property represents the space of the classrooms we need for the Christian school.

We called this project: Joshua Project. Just as Joshua, the great conqueror, was used by God to get the Land the people of Israel needed, we as well are doing great efforts to get the piece of property we need for our ministry.

The property is 200 mts². The total cost of the Property is of $ 25,000.00 American dollars. We already have $ 5000.00. We are praying for 160 brave “Josuas” that would join us in prayer that the Lord may be propitious in our need. And to join with us in our effort to get our promise land.
